Heavy Duty Truck Brake Repair
Heavy duty truck brake repair is what this shop was built for. Class-8 tractors and trailers, air brake systems, ABS faults, worn drums, bad S-cams. Skyliner handles the full scope of commercial brake work at our Pittston shop, right where I-81 meets I-476. If your brakes need fixing, this is the exit.
Class-8 Brake Repair Done to DOT Standards
The Brake Shop Where the Interstates Cross
Northeast Pennsylvania is where the freight corridors stack up. I-81 runs north-south carrying loads between New York and the mid-Atlantic. I-80 cuts east-west. I-84 heads toward New England. I-476 connects it all to Philadelphia. If you haul through this region, you pass through this interchange. And when brake problems show up mid-route, you need a shop that actually handles heavy duty truck brake repair, not a car shop that will wave you off.
Skyliner Truck Center sits inside the Pilot Travel Center at PA-315 in Pittston, directly off the I-81 and I-476 corridor. We have been fixing trucks here for over seventy years, three generations of the same family. The shop stays open until 11:30 PM Monday through Friday, hours that actually match the way freight moves. Scranton is fifteen minutes north, Wilkes-Barre ten minutes south, Hazleton down I-81. If you are within fifty miles, we are your shop.
This is a full-service commercial truck facility. Air brake systems, ABS diagnostics, drum and shoe replacement, S-cam work, trailer brakes separate from the tractor. Everything done to DOT compliance standards. Most brake jobs finish same-day depending on shop load. The 24/7 emergency line handles roadside calls if you cannot limp in. Call (570) 655-2805 and get the brake work handled where the interstates meet.

Questions About Heavy Duty Truck Brake Repair
Do you work on Class-8 equipment specifically or all truck sizes?
This is a heavy-duty commercial truck shop. We work on semi tractors and trailers, Class-8 equipment. Not light-duty pickups, not box trucks with hydraulic brakes.
How close is the shop to I-81?
We are directly off I-81 at the PA-315 exit in Pittston, inside the Pilot Travel Center. You can see the Pilot from the highway. No backtracking through town.
Can you check my whole brake system if I only noticed one problem?
Yes. We diagnose the full air brake system, not just the single symptom you came in with. If there are other issues developing, you will know before you leave.
What if my ABS light is on but the brakes seem to work fine?
The brakes may still function, but the ABS system is faulted and will not protect you in a skid. We run diagnostics to find the actual sensor or module issue and repair it.
Is brake work available on weekends?
Shop hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 11:30 PM. Weekend brake work is not available at the shop, but the 24/7 line can dispatch emergency roadside service.
